- 2–3 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
- 1 bag soft caramel candies (about 11 oz)
- 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk
- Toppings: crushed peanuts, mini chocolate chips, sprinkles, crushed pretzels
- Lollipop sticks or toothpicks
Instructions
- Wash and core the apples. Slice them into thick wedges.
- Pat apple slices dry with paper towels. Caramel won’t stick to wet fruit.
- Insert sticks into the base of each apple slice.
- Melt caramel candies with cream in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each apple slice into the warm caramel, letting excess drip off.
- Roll or sprinkle with toppings while caramel is still soft.
- Place on parchment paper and let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Always dry your apple slices thoroughly. Any moisture kills the caramel’s sticking power.
