  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks (Ceylon cinnamon preferred for its delicate flavor)

  • 1.5 liters (6 cups) of filtered water

  • Ice cubes (optional, for serving)

  • A few sprigs of fresh mint (optional, for added freshness)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, to enhance detox properties)


Instructions

Step 1: Slice the Apples

  • Wash your apple thoroughly.

  • Core and slice it thinly to maximize surface area for better infusion.

  • No need to peel—the skin adds flavor and nutrients.

Step 2: Add Cinnamon Sticks

  • Place the cinnamon sticks into your pitcher.

  • Avoid using ground cinnamon—it will float and create an unpleasant texture.

Step 3: Fill with Water

  • Pour filtered water over the apples and cinnamon.

  • Stir gently to combine.

Step 4: Let It Infuse

  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator.

  • Allow it to infuse for at least 1 hour, but for a richer flavor, leave it for 4-6 hours or overnight.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy

 

  • Pour over ice cubes if desired.

  • Garnish with a sprig of mint or a dash of lemon juice for extra zing.
